Understand why visits repeat
Hair follicles do not all respond at the same stage, so laser hair removal is generally performed over multiple appointments. The clinic’s menu gives a typical range, while the AAD says the number and timing vary by person, hair, skin, and area. Ask for a proposed interval and the reason it fits the site being treated.
Track the right change
Before the first visit, note the area, density, coarseness, and your usual hair-removal routine. At follow-up, ask the clinician to distinguish regrowth from hairs not yet treated effectively. Consistent photographs and notes about shaving frequency can be more useful than a vague impression that the area looks better or worse on one day.
Check session and package terms
Ask whether the quote covers a fixed number of sessions, touch-ups, or only one visit. Clarify what happens if the area responds sooner than expected or needs further treatment after the package ends. A series is easier to evaluate when the review point, cancellation terms, and maintenance price are known before the first session.
Questions and answers
Is the clinic’s typical count a guarantee?
No. Hair, skin, area, and response affect the number of visits. Ask for a personalized estimate and a scheduled reassessment.
