Discuss sun exposure and travel dates
Marie Jé’s Tight and Bright service uses PicoWay and is described as a series. Tell the clinician about recent tanning, sunburn, outdoor work, travel, and events where sun exposure is hard to avoid. Ask whether the current skin condition makes treatment inappropriate now and what interval they recommend around the planned exposure.
Get treatment-specific instructions
Ask what sunscreen, protective clothing, and skin-care changes are required before and after your particular session. The AAD warns that laser procedures can cause pigment changes, and pre- and post-care matter. A statement that downtime is minimal does not answer how to protect freshly treated skin or when to resume exfoliating products.
Know what to watch for
Ask which redness, discomfort, or color change is expected and which should prompt a call. Photograph the area before the series in consistent light, then agree on a review point that allows effects to settle. If you cannot follow the sun plan, rescheduling may be more sensible than treating right before a high-exposure trip. If you use photosensitizing medication or have a history of post-inflammatory dark marks, make those facts part of the scheduling conversation.
Questions and answers
Can I schedule immediately before a sunny vacation?
Discuss the dates and your skin history with the clinician first; sun precautions and treatment timing should be individualized.
